Part:
Of First Importance
April 1, 2018
Welcome to Southside’s Easter Celebration! We want to give you resources to help you on your spiritual journey. Understanding who Jesus is, what He taught, and what it means can be a challenge. The information provided on this page is designed to help you explore more of what you heard today. If you have specific questions, or would like any additional recommendations, please email pastor@ssbc.org.
Questions to Consider:
- Do you think that some churches have obscured the basic message of the Gospel with less important issues? Why or why not?
- In your own words, what did Paul think was the message “of first importance”?
- How would it change the reputation of the church in America if that was the message “of first importance” in every congregation?
- Have you ever seriously considered the evidence for the historic claims made by the early Christians; that Jesus died, was buried, and was raised to life on the third day?
- If you are already a follower of Jesus, how will you prioritize the message “of first importance” with your unbelieving friends and family?
- If you are not a Jesus Follower, are you willing to consider the message “of first importance” apart from all the other distracting messages?
