Pieza:

Life in The Way

June 8, 2025

Jesus didn’t invite us to convert to Christianity. He didn’t even call us to be Christians. In Antioch, we were first called Christians because the lives of those that have gone before us so mirrored the life of Jesus that they were known as Little Christs’. Jesus is calling us to apprentice under him into an entirely new way of life. To Be Transformed. To Know Him. To Become Like Him. To Live as He lived. Then, we become the people that we long to be and live the lives that we are destined to live.

Practicing the Way Session 02

Spiritual formation isn’t a Christian thing; it’s a human thing. To be human is to grow, to mature, to adapt over time. Formation is simply the process by which our inner person is formed into a particular shape or character.  Some of the most important questions to reflect upon are:

  • Who am I becoming?
  • Am I intentional about who I am becoming?
  • What is my one(1) step closer to be with and become like Jesus?

Hear

(Romans 12.1-2; Galatians 2.20; Colossians 1.26-27)

What habits do you hold in your daily and weekly life? How might they be shaping you?

Who are the most important people in your life? What do those relationships look like?

What stories have shaped the way that you view the world? How did these stories originate?

What did God reveal to you in the video session?

Huddle

As you consider the list of forces that can unintentionally form you, does anything surprise you or stand out to you?

When will you set aside time for the Formation Audit? Invite the Spirit of Christ to provide wisdom and revelation as you make your way through the audit. Ask that God reveal what is  intentionally and unintentionally forming your life.

  2. How does the truths of who we are in Christ impact how we live for Christ?
  3. Consider taking time to journal these truths of identity in Christ and their implications.
  4. Read and reflect on the mystery found in Colossians 1.26-29
