The purpose of longing

• Read: Psalm 13; Habakkuk 1:2; Hebrews 11:13-16
• Every longing is a reminder that we are waiting on God.
• Have you considered what your unfulfilled longings are about?

The pitfall of longing

• Read: Ecclesiastes 2:1-9; Psalm 73:25; Psalm 63:1
• Our attempt to satisfy our longings with anything other than God
• How have you fallen into the pit?
• What are you pursuing to satisfy your longing that can never bring ultimate satisfaction?

The promise of longing

• Read: Luke 2:22-40; Isaiah 26:3; Isaiah 40:31; Revelation 21:1-5
• He came; He comes; He is coming.
• What is the real desire of your heart?
• Are you living with the hope and anticipation that God will satisfy your longings?
• Are you fully present and tuned in to what God is doing around you right now?
