Deep within the genetic memory of humanity is a longing for a perfect king. A king who will restore order and justice. A king who will provide for and protect his people. A king whose reign will never end. Our problem seems to be that we cannot find such a king. When earthly kings have failed and we’ve exhausted political solutions, we are still left with the unfulfilled hope of a once and future king. Join us for part one of “Let Earth Receive Her King” as we explore Psalm 2 to discover the King we are longing to know.

Psalm 2:

We Resist the King: (Psalm 2:1-3)

We Recognize the King: (Psalm 2:4-9)

We Rejoice in the King: (Psalm 2:10-12)

Three Truths:

  1. You will be subject to your rightful King or to every imposter who comes along
  2. Jesus does not stand “with” the rulers of this world; He stands over them.
  3. As Christians, we must be more committed to the Kingdom of our Lord than to any kingdom of this world

The Distinctive Kingdom Question . . .

  • is not: How should we vote?
  • is: How should we live?
