Saving Christmas From the Grinch

For many people, there is at least one person they’d like to avoid at this year’s Christmas get-together. The reasons range from simple annoyances to serious offenses. At the announcement of Jesus’ birth, the angels’ proclaimed, “Peace on earth, good will toward people on whom God’s favor rests.” If Christmas is the celebration of God making peace with us, shouldn’t we be able to make peace with one another? Join us for part three of Saving Christmas, where we will discover the missing ingredient to the peace we seek with all of the “Grinches” in our world. 

And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. (John bore witness about him, and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.’”) For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known.
