In Chemistry, the periodic table is made up of 118 elements, everything from oxygen to Protactinim. While certain elements are essential to life in an abundant supply others are non-essential and are so rare they have only recently been discovered. Understanding the Christian faith can sometimes be compared to the periodic table; there are essential and non-essential elements. There are common beliefs held by a wide variety of Christians and there are those obscure interpretations that many Christians debate.
