Love Names
October 17, 2021
Regardless of the name we use, God’s people are to be known by one defining characteristic: Love. That love is not defined by Hollywood or Nashville, it is defined by Jesus on the cross. Join us for week two of What’s in a Name as consider what it means that God’s banner over us is love.
Passage:
- Song of Solomon 2
- John 13:34-35
Principle:
His love defines us (John 3:16; John 19:18-19; Romans 5:8)
His love identifies us (John 13:34-35; 1 John 3:16)
His love transforms us (2 Corinthians 5:14-15)
Practice:
Allow this question to shape every decision you make: What does love require of me?
